I smell romance! Ｏ(≧▽≦)Ｏ Kasia & Archmage Ernon are cute being together.
So actually Kasia has a hidden power which caused the magic explosion back then, and also injured Ernon badly.. With that powerful power, Kasia probably can help the poor Ernon break free from the nasty Duke Alistas.

i was thinking more along the lines that the power that cause Ernon to be badly injured was the power sending Kasia into her body.

At first I thought too. But If so, the power should have been gone after sending her. But in Ch.37 again, Ernon still sense that power from Kasia, that's why he wants to keep her to find out.

i think its more because he can sense that its a different soul in her body but can't tell what it actually is
