1st. Ares "put her down" because she came in when he was reminded of the past with his father. And its also his fault for ignoring her. I mean he's someone legendary! He should know when people approach
Don't mind me, but Kai didn't throw the candy, he wouldn't waste it lmao ! He burnt the paper with the address where Alicia could meet Lancelot to hopefully join the mercenaries in the future. That's why their only link was broken. But I agree with the rest of your comment ╮(￣▽￣)╭
As much as I love Ares, I do think he took it too far. It might not mean much for him and Kai but it had a lot of emotional impact and importance for Alicia. He should've been more supportive instead of being blinded by jealousy and putting her down. And Kai is a child and was young when he threw the candy away but it obviously meant a lot to Alicia. The least he could do is have some self awareness and let her be happy and not ruin the mood with Lancelot.
