it's a really common racist stereotype in manga with foreign and especially darker skined characters. ie the author is racist and thinks all Africans are stupid so they write the character as stupid. the aggresive stereotype comes from the notion that "the big brown man will rape the small frail white/pale woman'' in context it usual is shown with sexual assault in manga. this manga didn't show Luca as either which is better

And in anime Art style I don’t think people pay attention much to the nose unless the art style is more realistic

exactly, and if anything, i'd rather authors not exaggerate features and make characters look drastically different than all the other characters in the manga.
