I can understand. First, I couldn't imagine this sort of relationship between many of my favorite characters but sometimes some stories are so beautiful and heartwarming and so well-written that I can help myself to falling in love with them.
Beyond the friendship imagine true love and passion is in some way beautiful. Finally in my opinion. =)

I don't read SNK but I do like reading ErwinxLevi dj. There are some really hot/well written stories about the couple. Like the one you just linked, that was a very beautiful story. Thank you for the link, I want to read more stories about them.
When it comes to shipping couples on a non-yaoi story, I have to agree with @Cleo. I read stories where the male leading character has a male bestfriend and I don't fantasize about them being together. If the author created a world where they are meant to be friends, then that is how it should be. I'm not saying people shouldn't fantasize, but it just doesn't make since to pair up a character with another character when you know full well that the characters have zero romantic feelings for one another(and this applies to all stories in general, it doesn't matter the genre). However, there are two characters that I only pair up and that is NarutoxSasuke(NaruSasu) from Naruto. When I first watched the series, I saw them as bestfriends. A couple of years ago, I came across fanart of the two on tumblr. At first, I was confused as to why were people pairing them up, I just didn't get and then it just bothered me. Then, I decided to analyze these characters and the story itself and I came up with mind boggling conclusion. I don't know if you/watch Naruto, but there is something about the story that gives the reader/viewer kind of this open minded theory between Naruto/Sasuke and the story itself that surrounds these two characters. Thus, I am die-hard NaruSasu fan

Like I said I'm agree with you. But some characters even if they aren't a "true" couple in the true story I can't help myself to imagine them together for many reasons like they usually are ever and ever irritated with each other (like ZoroxSanji) but one can't to be himself without the other one... . Or it has a such great friendship that I would like sometimes more (Kuroko no basket). And for NaruxSasuke I understand your point of view, I like them too. But I prefer KakashixIruka, the stories I'm reading are so cute.
For narutoxsasuke You have already looked on the web site I have given because there are many dj of naruxsasuke... .

I like what you said about one can't be himself without the other. As soon as you said that, I thought about Naruto and Sasuke. They are soul mates. Oh, I visited the link you gave me but they only have SasukexNaruto dj. I don't pair them up that way. I only see Naruto as the seme and Sasuke as the uke . That is why I wrote NaruSasu, which indicates the first name as seme and the second name as uke, LOL. But thank you anyways, I still love link because they have a lot of ErwinxLevi dj. At the end of the day, you have every right to fantasize characters being together even though the author didn't set it up that way. Therefore, keep up pairing the couples you love and don't let anyone stop you. :)
Oh by the way, you're English is good -- just keep on practicing and you'll become an excellent writer. :)
