I think one of the main things about Anubis is how he’s pretty much Seth’s only weakness and it’s this fact that leads to the events taking place.

Before the main story, Seth, Nepthys and Annubis were a happy family. But then Seth finds out that he isn’t his biological father and in fact Anubis is the son of Osiris and Nephthys….Seth basically says it doesn’t change the fact that he still loves him as his son. Osiris exploits this love and uses Anubis’s life as a bargaining chip knowing Seth will do anything for him which is the catalyst for what happened next: Seth gives himself to Osiris to spare Anubis’s life and is left traumatised, which leads to his current behaviour and everything that’s happening now.

Some time after this Anubis and Seth end up fighting and Anubis runs away to the underworld. He meets Osiris there who ends up manipulating him against Seth so going by the current ch’s here, he’s currently being used to hurt Seth/bring him to Osiris. As well as being used by Osiris, Anubis is also trying to break free from Seth’s wish/curse that he remains as his child because as soon as he grows up, Anubis can become a god.

At the end of season 1, he finally achieves this but has fallen under the complete influence of Osiris so he’s a potential threat now that Seth is a Demi-god after his powers were taken away. The fact Seth still loves him as his son and would never want to hurt him could be a serious issue in season 2.

I feel like the saddest part here is that Anubis seems to have no idea of Seth's love for him.

With the way Anubis is reacting I understand that he isn't aware of his father's sacifice for him? Man, the more I read about Osiris the more I am pissed ヽ(`Д´)ﾉ

But just to be sure when you say under complete influence, do you mean brainwash/zombie style or that Anubis trust every words of Osiris?

Same here! I hope Seth and Anubis eventually mend their relationship as father and son.
Sorry for not being clear: When I say complete influence I mean he’s basically following his orders without question although in some chapters we do see that Osiris has a certain amount of control over Anubis’s body at times.

Personally looking forward to Seth x Horus getting more development, Anubis hopefully breaking free from Osiris’ control and all three finding happiness.....No happiness for Osiris thoughヽ(`Д´)ﾉ

I truly hope so. Being both victims and collateral victim of a ******** dude, they deserve so much better. The simple fact that Osiris can take possession of Anubis's body is already f*** up. I am very scare for all the damage he will cause (mental and physic).

I am also curious to know if Ra's know what is going on! And if she knows, why isn't she doing anything.

He's obssessed with Seth. You can't say there is any love coming from Osiris he's too crazy and tonic to be able to love anyone else.

A QUESTION: I thought that Horus tells Anubis how he met Seth when he was little and how Seth mistook Horus with Anubis. And then Abubis got angry at Horus.
I dont understand....... please explained

You’re right about Horus telling Anubis about how he met Seth. As for why Anubis is angry, I think it’s a combination of factors that involve him feeling some denial and jealousy:

A major problem for him is how the relationship with Seth started deteriorating after the incident with Osiris. From his perspective all he knew was his father suddenly murdered his brother without giving a reason, then he was horrified when Seth became like a tyrant who started slaughtering innocent ppl while persecuting Isis and imprisoning his mom Nephthys.
So as well as this terrible image of his father, there’s also the wish/curse Seth placed on him that he’s trying to free himself from. Another thing is Osiris’s been manipulating him ever since they met and the scene where he uses Anubis’s body to meet Seth resulted in Seth hurting Anubis, who ends up losing a limb.

I think those are some of the reasons Anubis finds it difficult to immediately accept what Horus tells him, plus there might be a bit of jealousy involved as well...the thought that "I’m his son so why did you get that moment with him/experience his love and kindness and I didn’t?"

I could be missing out some stuff because it’s been a while since I looked at the raws but it makes you wonder how things might have worked out if Anubis went back and saw his father rather than Horus.

Yeah Ra’s a great character! From her perspective she’s this all powerful goddess watching over everything in existence until her kids suddenly decide to act out some kind of soap opera rather than behaving like the impartial higher beings they’re supposed to be.

The gods/goddesses are meant to be totally different to humans so for them to start behaving this way is amusing to her....she’s like the a wry observer knowing how everything’s gonna turn out and definitely seems to have all the answers already.

Because of that, I think getting directly involved would be too obvious for her, which is kinda harsh but makes sense for her character. Instead she’s happy to sit on her throne asking all the awkward questions and provoking ppl into finally revealing the truth.

It was really satisfying finding out what Seth looked like so I’m looking forward to the Horus face reveal too. The artist already does a great job teasing the readers by keeping their faces mostly covered and conveying their personalities through subtle expressions (like Horus’s smile when he won the last race).

Atm I’m more interested in Horus taking off the bird mask and finding out what he looks like than anything else right now
