In the first world (Lovely princesses), Claude knows Jennette isn't her daughter but still likes her due to Jennette's magic that makes everyone like her. Also Claude's black magic was done to foeget Diana, the magic takes 7 years to complete, when Athy first met Claude (in lovely princesses) she was nine years old so Claude had already forgetten Diana and thought that Athy was his child from a random concubine/dancer.
Ohh that explains so much because I just thought that Claude was just denying his feelings for Diana. Like being a Tsundere lol

Coz I always wonder why its like that in her first life; Claude isn't pretending to be cold and he doesn't feel even the tiniest bit of affection towards Athy (we all know Claude is a lil bit on the tsuntsun side) bc we all saw that in the present time he still wants to kill Athy but deep inside he can't bc she's her daughter and not because she's acting cute (if my intuition is accurate Claude might've knew already since day 1 that Athy is just acting cute) . So I was so intent on pushing the theory that maybe there's a big big BIG reason why Athy's first life ended like that. SO THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!! ε=ε=(ノ≧∇≦)ノ
Ooooh I almost forgot about that, that's why his reaction is so different from the past coz they shouldn't have met YET and it changed everything just bc Athy was planning on hiding her treasures and instead ended up in the Emperor's palace. Ugh if this happened in her first life then she wouldn't have died ╥﹏╥
Since there's still no update and I'm getting WMMP deprived; I'll just type out my long caged thoughts.
So for a while now it's already been hinted to us "Generously" by the author that Athy is just a reincarnation of her Original self "Athanasia" so it's like she returned back in time.
I was thinking, that since she has so many regrets, unsolved misunderstandings, words and actions that she did or did not do, and the fact that she just let everything happen in the past and died just like that; it caused her magic to make her go back in time to fix everything.
Since it was also hinted to us that the novel "My Lovely Princess" has a happy ending for Jeanette only. We are sure that after the ending in the novel Claude is still sick and probably just died after his daughter did. So maybe there's a force or something or maybe Diana's spirit that sought Athanasia in the modern world so that's why she came back in time (just a theory).
aaand as a reader I wanted to know what really happened in the past. Did Claude never thought even a lil bit of Athanasia as his daughter? Like, did he not even feel a little for her since there's a saying blood is thicker than water. And like what Athanasia is thinking subconsiously but never realized, is that some parts of the novel are not clear. You know it's not like you would be able to know every little detail about every individual's life just by reading the novel. So maybe we're missing out on something. That's why I really really look forward to the time where everything will be set in place and unfold, so all of my theories and caged thoughts will be finally sated.
