Not really, ol’ dude was just manipulated by that goddess. She used his weakness against him and it got River killed. You should be blaming her.
Khaol didnt even think twice about river dying. It's like killing someone then wanting to bring them back to life. He didnt kill river but he stood and watched without doing anything. I think he can be redeemed but i hope he doesn't get back with River.
Of course , she's to be blamed. But I don't think someone can literally risk a person's life for getting back their old lover. River's ancestors literally had to marry someone they didn't know, River isn't a human anymore , he is now separated from his family , mentally devastated. Can we really say khaol had no hand in that?
