I agree! I do think there was some growth, mostly because they had time apart to think about things and the uke became independent, but I do wish there had been a lot more growth after the time skip. At the very least I wish there were extras showing their relationship as time goes by.
honestly wish there was a season two. it needs one. i enjoyed their dynamic (and patiently waited out that long ass miscommunication) but i had high hopes for their breakup. it was four whole years—i really expected them to show a little character growth, instead of hopping right back into their old personalities where it was just push and pull.
enjoyable overall, i just wish there was character and relationship development between the two by the end.
