I'll explain it not briefly tho, so Shiro used as human toilets back in the day and the last people who done him is somewhat related to yakuza and dealing drugs. Haru is in charge to deal with the yakuza, then he found shiro, in shiro he found his oldself and can't leave him alone, then brought him to shigure, which haru would know if shigure is a kind person and saved shiro. Shiro is basically still had has string attached to drugs dealer and targeted Shigure (? kinda confused?) . Then Shigure died. Haru felt guilty cs he shouldn't let him took care of Shiro. And let shiro be in that place.
Then shigure won't die.
