honestly i don’t really think yuki was meant to be for mafuyu, if you’ve read other mangas where their soulmates die they usually were never able to move on(like banana fish) but for given imo yuki was the only one mafuyu could rely on and mistook it for love, well maybe he did love him but not as a soulmate yk?
Ya that makes since but it's still so heart breaking cause the characters we love so much just are so hurt and broken.
Mafuyu just needs time to think not be in a relationship and forcing himself to block out what's really happening(〜￣△￣)〜
