I would say if ur 17 you dont have to worry because you will be 18 which is the legal age and 3 years isn't a big age gap your basically an adult. I doubt there would be any legal issues if you two are dating right now, but it would be better you dont tell many people because your still a minor dating an adult. so yeah I would say its more of a moral thing and not a legal thing

Good point, however it really depends which state/country you live in. The both of you live in. In the US, it’s almost taboo for a 16-17 year old dating a 20-21 year old let alone allow sex into the picture? While in Europe it’s a custom and it’s fine because the drinking age there is 16 In Europe. Tbh... if you live in the US and is confused which is right or wrong just wait until you’re older to date and mature... honestly in my opinion, a 17 year old should not be dating with long distance in the picture especially when you have two different a ‘types’ relationship... ╮( ̄▽ ̄)╭
So I’ve been wondering about age of consent these days. Many countries have different ages for a person to be legal to date or have sex. let’s say I was 17 (American) talking to someone who’s 20 but they are from a country in Europe that has 16 as their age of consent. Is the relationship still wrong or illegal? Is it more of a morality thing rather than legality?
