I'm so glad I wasn't the only one when I saw the "I love you" scene I said out loud unconsciously "no you f**king don't" yaku just pisses me off.......he is like oh this guy has liked me for years and I'm acting like the bastard who hurt me. Yeah no shit I don't think he even really apologized.....
Idk i just i can't like relationships where the uke is ok with have been hurt and then suddenly forgives thr seme cause they "turned a new leaf"

I wouldnt say i hated yaku completely though. Yaku and Hino entered that arrangement with the knowledge that it was purely for pleasure. Hino knew what he was getting into, he knew how he felt for Yaku, and he still accepted those terms. Theyre both consenting adults. If he got hurt (hypothetically) bc yaku says he doesn't reciprocate his feelings, then thats entirely hino's responsibility. Hino had his reasons why he entered that kinda relationship and so did yaku.

To me, what made yaku seem like a jerk was the ily alone. Coz, hino seemed happy being able to just say ily to him so freely, and yaku just.... says it? It felt to me like he was expected to say it so he did, but he didn't actually believe it himself?? It was unconvincing and seemed to belittle Hino's feelings for him.

I guess for me it was more his sudden change in his feelings for hino.
I hated that hino allowed Yaku to treat him like that but for me what made me upset is how easily Yaku got away with treating him bad. I mean I've read a lot of friends with benefits but I guess what upset me is like you said was the "i love you" and sudden change.
I guess I wanted Yaku to feel a little pain he did to Hino I felt like he just belittled Hino's feelings
