She's just not attentive towards Aria in the past but she'll also change. They both will have happy endings. (⌒▽⌒)
Mielle's maid had poisoned the mother last time and tried to blame Aria (same poisoning method as what mielle and her nurse maid ordered the maid to convince Aria into using on her) so she died pretty early on in the story. She wasn't really able to give Aria the support and motherly love that she needed but it was mentioned that she was always on Aria's side
I cant remember if the mother did anything bad, but rn I hope she gets a happy ending because she was mad when the count was trying to sell her off .
