wow you literally went through my entire thought cycle as I was reading chapter 54. I also thought it was from taichi's perspective at first and thought the texting each other on the train scene was maybe when the perspectives switched but then came to realize they were married,, and then I was like wait isn't gay marriage no legalized yet? and IM ALSO PLANNING ON BUYING ALL THE VOLUMES THAT HAVE BEEN OFFICIALLY TRANSLATED SO FAR.
Oh, I checked the officially translated mangas from VIZ media and unfortunately, only vol.1 and 2 are available for purchase currently :( The other volumes 3 - 5 can be pre-ordered though. I guess I gotta wait some time for the other volumes to be released since they have 8 volumes in total. Also, where do you usually buy mangas? I buy from Book Depository often but the prices are rather unstable most of the time
usually I don't buy manga bc I'm a broke ass bitch but when ever I used order a lone volume or something I usually did it through amazon. however, now that amazon is known to treat their workers unfairly and probably don't even pay them much, I'm thinking of going to my local bookstore Barnes and Nobles when corona calms down a bit. The cheapest price I've seen for a volume of ao no flag is 12.99 on Amazon and Barnes and Nobles (and sometime B&N has coupons LOL) so hopefully when I get enough money I can purchase half or all the volumes of ao no flag :))
Same tbh I only buy physical mangas of my fav series, otherwise I just read scanlations from online sites. That's really nice to have a bookstore which sells mangas at your place! The bookstores here where I live don't sell mangas for some reason and if they do, they're extremely overpriced lol anyways yeah, hopefully we'd be able to purchase them later uwu
oh seriously? that sucks I thought all bookstores had a good collection of manga nowadays. like even my high school had a pretty good collection that took up a whole corner of the library,, but then again school was like 80% asian HAHA,, well hopefully you can convince your local bookstores to get this in stock! or just buy off amazon as a last resort lol
Spoiler alert

On chapter 54, the story was actually visualized from Touma's perspective. He went to Futaba's wedding since Taichi couldn't (he had to attend his friend Omega's wedding). I was a bit confused at first, thinking that it was from Taichi's perspective but ended up understanding that it was Touma's. Eventually, they both got married (I'm sure same-sex marriage isn't legalized in Japan yet but since we're unsure of the time setting here I guess it could have been legalized by then/they got married in another country), wore rings and were living together as shown in the last few pages of the manga. Touma took Taichi's last name and it was shown when he wrote his name as 'Ichinose' on Futaba's wedding guest registry. Overall, I'm content with the ending but they could've explained more thoroughly on how Taichi and Touma's relationship became they way it is instead of leaving the ending quite questionable. I gotta say that I'm sad Masumi didn't get the chance to confess her love to Futaba but seeing them in the end, I hope they are happy with their current partners and that they didn't regret their choices. The whole manga is a roller coaster ride of emotions. I finished the manga within 3 days right after reading 'Faded First Love'. I'm planning to support the author by buying the physical manga! Definitely a nice journey reading such a wholesome manga :D
