Like light was actually good, he just wanted to stop crimes which he did, like he was a little crazy but that’s not the point here

Light had good intentions but he was not a good guy wanting to kill anyone in his way even if it was his family

No I luv him, and actually he wouldn’t kill his family, like he did try saving his sister, but he was a good guy But that’s just my opinion.

If that's the truth then why is Sayu alive. Somewhere in his black heart he has a special place there for them.

Yeah I think so too. He was a reasonable guy who seek justice, not necessarily a good person but not a bad one either. He was my fav character I loved him so much

that's the whole idea of how death note tips the belief of right and wrong. Both Light, L and nearly every important character of death note were morally grey. L did catch criminals yes, but he was still responsible for the death of multiple people, this is similar to the morality of near and Mello too. They all treated them like pieces of a puzzle that were no longer needed when they had died. Light had the right idea at the start, and then began getting swallowed up in his god complex which gave him a completely different reason to continue to kill the criminals.

Still, god complex or not, I wanted him to stay alive and create the future he wants. The way Near “win” in the end seemed so rushed and unreasonable to me, it was like the author just wanted to make Light die. It was unfair for Light
