No, Sid isn't on Cain's side; Sid had the doc killed (didn't know it was a clone obviously) to buy time so the thing in Cain's heart would kill him. Sid is just by his side to gain trust and so he can kinda have Cain't help without him knowing so he can get his dirty work done easier and without being detected plus Cain is very powerful so I also think that's why Sid wants the thing in his heart to do the job. Cain talked about the weapon that Satan shot him with and I kinda think Sid had something to do with that too but I think Sid just wants Cain and Satan to kill each other so he can just have everything. I definitely don't know what was happening in this chapter with the doc; his mind was all over the place! I think he knows Sid is bad and Cain isn't and that the doc knows he has to prove himself to the right person lol
