Hmm, in general yeah. I have been reading a lot of manga other than anime because I find it easier to get into plus there is a lot more stories and plot uncovered. As for a series transitioning not really. I either start a series by anime or manga. I read the manga later if I really liked the anime because more story that's left uncovered. But I never really have read the manga then later watched the anime because I have a short attention span if I already know the whole story. ╮( ̄▽ ̄)╭ This is just me rambling, so sorry if it's a bit long.
Same. I haven’t watched anime in 2-3 years and I personally feel as if it’s way too long. I can’t watch anything that has episodes anymore unless it’s already completed because my short ass attention span won’t let me. Along with that manga and that has better art since it isn’t being animated. Manga is just a nicely packed story unlike anime tbh. Shorter but feels exactly the same.
The anime just wets the appetite but the manga is a full course meal. Still, I'm looking for some good manga to anime recs for action or romance or bl, even isekai. I want to expand my list.

I prefer manga over anime any time, you can pickup your own pace and skim over scenes that aren't very important. For example in a dialogue-heavy series, an anime might took time to immerse the viewer by adding music, silence, and gaps between speeches, and I'm often get impatient. Manga's art is also usually more consistent than the anime because an anime series is done by a lot of people.
am i the only one who started off watching anime then started reading manga and couldn't get back into anime because i haven't watched any anime in two months, but i still love it
