Yes, he did die, but once he died yellow dragon was waiting for him. In that dream that the niece had, it was them reuniting once he had passed. Since yellow dragon wished for them to stay together forever, after yellow dragon fixed all his wrong doings, he waited for Dojin to pass and once he did, they were finally able to meet up again. This time they would stay together forever.
Actually we didn't get to see the ending because if you pay attention it says 4 years later! So the dojinn that we saw die wasn't "our dojin " but the one that have him the orb. We saw how a different part of him got his happy ending
oh...i didn't notice that. when i saw dojin came back, i thought dragon would also follow him or there'll be other ways. but the next i saw, he has aged, i felt totally miserable. that time, i was already feeling worse after continuously reading three webtoons where either one of the mc died. so when i saw the cover, i thought finally I'd found a decent one. but, after finishing it..i felt ten time double worse like my whole two days was wasted. btw thanks for pointing that out.
