(If it helps with context, I do want to do a PhD program in archaeology, but I have a bachelors in chemistry so I can also do a masters in that and go forth in some chem field stuff. Somewhere where people aren't as dumb as Americans but I could also find a job lol)

Australia! we dont have many natural hazards up in QLD.
Other than the occasional cyclone, its mostly nice weather here.
Hot Summers, cold Winters, warm Springs and Autumns..
The people down here are usually very different. You may run into a couple of rude locals, but usually we are very friendly! Australians are often very social, too. Lots of places to visit, people to meet, and its very quiet here too. You don’t have to worry about bumping into people in public centers....
The food here is invited by many different cultures. We usually eat sausage sizzles and burgers but there’s several other options (many vegan/vegetarian foods, other cultural dishes).
I think that’s most of it.
Oh! And LQBTQ+ is supported here. Racism is NOT supported. People here are not afraid to tell off their close relatives/friends/strangers if they are doing something potentially racist to someone else,,, known or not.

Probably not the right place to ask (lol) but I'm an American absolutely fed up with this country. The way they've been handling COVID19 just confirms my desire to just move somewhere else.
