Sudou and Kikuchi are two sides of the same coin, the two overlapping outcomes of rampant sexual, physical, and mental abuse. Shintani is stuck in the middle of it as seemingly their foils, but in reality his normalcy is just a thinly veiled disguise to hide the internal turmoil of lust and his own humanity bubbling underneath. Manipulation slowly morphs the cast into something less than human with skewed morals and performative sympathy everywhere. Shintani is the most interesting to me tbh because of his slow transfiguration to the depraved. This storyline is REAL sinister (● ̄(エ) ̄●)
