like, when mr dragon first appeared, I was pretty meh about him (I did think he was hotter than qiqi though) but that backstory blew me away. sure, he was going to use him at first, but as time passed on he was even willing to stay in chains for ye zhu. not to mention he was able to break the chains himself when he heard that ye zhu would be in danger. like, he showed how much he cared for ye zhu. qiqi's backstory of "he cared for me when I was younger" pales in comparison to this (by a lot). usually the author makes the male lead who won't win less attractive than the main ml, so what's this??? I really hope Mr dragon gets with ye zhu but it's a long shot.
