Same, but I think he became too much of a workaholic and neglected the MC a lot after his mother's death and later on, even moved out and transferred so the MC was upset at him about that.

It’s in chapter 4. His dad was a workaholic, had an affair, and didn’t come home one day. His mom’s health deteriorated after that.
