So I feel hella torn about shit. The male characters are all walking a line between acceptable and shitty behavior and jumping back on forth on either side, except for like her oldest brother and Alex. Chris is alrightish in that aspect too I guess but like still he does say some stuff without asking Sanghee first but that's minor compared to other male characters. You think by now Sanghee would've asserted more dominance and be more confident? Yes and no, idk really because it takes time to change as a person and she's spent all of her current life sucking up to men just to live. So I dunno if the current state of the sexism in the story is done realistically or not judging by the amount of time it's taken to change. I wish stupid shit like the mutt and fetch thing we're gone by now though. If they want her to call the Oppa and brother then don't call her mutt and don't make her fetch. And I wish we'd see her advocate for other women more too. There's only been sparse incidents with the slaves but there needs to be way more.
Also let's talk about Chris. Some aspects I'm kinda blegh about like his inability to give up on her and his scheming but I do like him overall I guess. I'm curious as to what his background is. I think he might be the first emperor of the Inchan Empire, the dude who took power away from women. Or maybe someone related to him? He's probably, dare I say, THE strongest person in the series but I believe he's hiding his true power. From what we've seen he can incant some weird stuff to make people tell him the truth, he can create golems as replacements for people, and can easily detect others even if they are invisible. When he said goodbye to Sanghee it was indeed hinted that he knows more about the Holy One and other info. I think there's a lot more to him than what is being seen. I also would prefer if he was the first lead but alas... Second lead syndrome as always. I find his personality quite more interesting than Jinsu's.
I like to see such dedicated readers(▰˘◡˘▰) ur a comrade (●'◡'●)ノ mangapurpose
I'm always dedicated I love talking theories and doing in-depth discussions about ships and characters and also pointing out plot holes and other things
