why are the nobility touching dead corpses when in most stories they are visibly disgusted by a person of lower status? it's counter intuitive-- and at this time where clothing is insanely expensive many aristocrats would take good care of their clothes. Although they are rich they still care about their belongings. at least, enough to not waste it over the blood of a lower class citizen.
