I agree that he is toxic and i respect your opinion (p.s you should also respect mine)but you know what not all relationship are sunshine and rainbows. And by doing the Heili x river ship the author is just doing fanservice.The beautiful yet sad plot of the story is being wasted because of Heilixriver ship

'Not sunshine and rainbows' would be having disagreements with your lover and sorting it out afterwards, NOT, treating them like a spare tire and be 'mehh' when they are literally on the brink of death because you couldn't be bothered to go against your friend. In all seriousness, the author herself knows that she will lose a heck load of readers and get MAJORLY downvoted in case this actually goes down the KhaolxRiver route.What might seem like fanservice to you, might just be how the story will proceed from this point onward.
