actually it doesnt only apply in bl mangas. idk but this new generation (i sound old gosh) are very vocal on their opinions. i mean voicing out opinions is good but sometimes they just go over bored. like what you mentioned, they tend to make a big thing out of a small issue that can really be just overlooked. ¯_(ツ)_/¯
Tbh, I always get annoyed when someone would complain about stuff like that. Don't like rape? Stop reading it, there are a bunch of other stories that doesn't involve it. Just don't ruin it for others. I mean, I see why people would complain. It just ruins the mood of story since without some of the bad stuff, it wouldn't have the same ending. hmm i guess im misunderstood. welp i didnt say rape is a small issue. the issue i meant was the fact that people write long ass thesis papers over a fiction story on the comments as if theyre fighting a case in the court in front of the judge lol. not just about rape but sometimes they even write character's mental and emotional analysis. id get it if it were a psychological story but the story theyre writing about is not AT ALL
i second this 1000% lol this new generation of millennials are growing up with a snowflake SJW mentality like what’s the point of judging and shaming others who read certain topics they find “disgusting” or “socially unacceptable”, in the end it’s all fiction and this site should be a safe space for all BL lovers of any genres

And sorry if I used rape as an example, cus sometimes the manga is already kinda is too shallow (like water) if that make sense, like it isn’t deep so I think stuff are fine to overlook. I mean there are times where it’s too deep to overlook especially when the manga is long running and the story and or characters become too complex and almost realistic. It really depends on the manga and how much psychology can be put into it. I’ve definitely read certain mangas where I can’t even overlook cheating because I felt the characters were too heavy but that’s just me

I’ve been reading a lot of mangas for forever and the older the manga the more fucked up it is. Like the things that they gloss over and shit but no one really comment on it. At least back then, we just read to read and that’s it. Sometimes when a manga is too heavy we spoke on it. But generally we don’t care cus it’s fiction but I see a new wave of readers speaking on every thing that’s messed up, like analyzing every little detail. Some people can’t take it and some people try to justify the fucked up acts and end up arguing. I used to not really see that. Back then was nothing to defend and argue about. Cus if it was rape it was rape no justification, we just continue reading cus it’s fiction. . But it just makes me wonder how popular has BL gotten...
