light girl was annoying but she honestly had the right reaction for a 14 yo girl being asked to go to war lol,, also everyone’s making really good points about it being racist and honestly it’s true. I also hope y’all realize this is from a native japanese/ asian pov though where dark/tan skin IS a “stigma” and racism isn’t really an issue in their mind (for this story) bc Asians pretty much be most racist towards other Asians. You could say the author is just ignorant/unaware
