the chapters where she went and talked with her mom perfectly explained her reluctance to get involved with him tho? Her mom got pregnant and was forced to have a shotgun marriage which led to MC’s miserable situation with her parents, and if she agrees to marry him she is just going down the same path as her mom. She’s a child with a psychological shadow, it’s reasonable she’d keep the father out of the picture and pour all the love she has into the child herself, to compensate for her mother’s lack of love towards her.
^^I get why she doesn’t want to marry him and I agreed with her. I meant mostly the lying to him was bad because he deserves to know if that’s his child too.
yeah he does deserve to know but nobody's perfect, including MC. this is her deep-rooted fear and she's confused, getting involved with the father who likely didn't want this pregnancy to happen either won't help her situation. it's not the nicest thing to do but at least i can understand where she's coming from
They’re honestly not too likeable yet. The MC is lying about the pregnancy for no real reason to the dad, and isn’t fair when it’s his child too. Yeah, getting married just bc of that is a no-go and I’m glad she said no, but it’s weird how negative and avoidant she is of him. Like he hasn’t done anything to her for her to behave this way?
The redhead seems a little selfish and like she would turn on the MC given the right circumstances.
