Or in any case we can clearly see resemblance with Hogan's youngest daughter, so if Kate doesn't posses any magic, she could still be a noble. But then again, her red hair is unusual so there must be some more to it.
Her red hair turned blonde when she was about to fall from the stairs and used her magic back in the early chapters.
