I am confuse she didn't know him or he just crazy?

I think they were together and something tragic happened. The guy got to return to some point in his life before they were together and now he went looking for the girl who was with him in his first life, except the girl has no memories of her first life so that’s why she doesn’t recognize him and is calling him crazy. That’s my guess.
