It's refreshing to not see the main character end up with the trash seme for once. I think it's interesting to see how Chang suffered the consequences of his actions because he chose (yes he had a choice) to treat Ed like shit and he didn't get away with it. In the end instead of being loved back by the one he loved he ended up being hated and that is more realistic if we're honest.
i´m so mad at the relationship between Ed and Chang. it was so complicated, so full of resentful, negative feelings but at the same time there was a really strong dependence from both of them. they were what they both have known for all their lives, it was so difficult to put a line between them, and it made it even harder when McQueen came in. i can't believe they really made him a r*pist just to get him out of the way easily. i mean, he was kind of shitty, and i get that he "is never honest" and "doesn't talk about his feelings", and i truly don't think Ed and him could've a healthy relationship, but that just felt so unfair, and so rushed, and cruel. i feel like they destroyed the interesting dynamic between the two of them just to Ed could easily let go and be with McQueen :/
