Exactly. It's the first thing I noticed ever since I started reading Yaoi stuff. I'm a writer myself and I write all the pairings but when it I'm writing Yaoi, people are making a big fuss over their roles when in reality, anyone, no matter their physical feature is or their characteristic, they can be a top or a bottom. Sometimes, I'm worried when I think that maybe most of them are just fetishising gay relationships which is simply wrong in many ways.
I’ve come to terms with the fact that most people that read Yaoi have fetishized gay relationships I can say this with full confidence since I was once like that as well to a point where I used to think if you’re gay and it’s not some form of male x male then what was the point of your suffering? Or some weird BS like there’s no pleasure in girl x girl so it’s useless.. it was weird times when I first discovered Yaoi. I’m so sure the peopling fussing about it are people that fetishize gay relationships OR they can’t believe some cute thing can ram into Mr. Macho or cross dresser rams into number 1 rugby player... either way it’s stupid and it needs to stop
its sad how this is exactly what happens like everyone is allowed to have their own preferences on top/bottom but to the point that take so seriously like some people do is just.. wrong
we all have different taste but i want to remind everyone that gay relationship doesnt revolve around who tops or bottom and most of all, their physical features don't have anything to do with their role in sex
