I adore the story and how realistic it was. And pleaaase, don’t hate Akira for what he did. Sure it was disappointing and I was fucking sad but it was understandable. I’m sure being a gay couple isn’t easy in Japan. We saw that Yuuki’s family was pressuring him to get married and I’m sure it was the same for Akira. The insecurity and the fear Akira felt are totally normal. He can’t guarantee a stable life neither for him or for Yuuki and Yuuki knew. They grew distant of each other and their relation weakened. However Yuuki wanted to go through the obstacles together while Akira didn’t have the courage neither the strength to confront the harshness of their society. Yuuki could have stopped him form breaking up but he let Akira go because I’m sure he was kind of feeling the same (about being insecure etc). Akira wasn’t strong enough to confront society and Yuuki wasn’t strong enough to keep Akira. And this is why this story is so realistic and beautiful. They were both weak at that time. So Akira decided to live a "normal life" but he realized that it didn’t make him happy. Yuuki made him happy and he is the one he loves. Their reunion in Alaska oh my god. Beautiful.
And that ending with old Yuuki who become young again and follow the white line to find his loved one Akira AAAAAH┗( T﹏T )┛
They both suffer enough so good things that they get back together and continue to love each other till their death. *cry*
What a tear jerking ending!! Plus the book Akira was reading while waiting for yuuki "Top 100 dating spots in heaven" was just just the icing on the cake kya my heart!! Just a wonderful ending!
This was so beautiful┗( T﹏T )┛
