I think its about their mother being a commoner and not a noble blood. So something like blood not being noble enough cause it has a commner's blood. That how i see it (⌒▽⌒)
im thinking maybe both parents have to have magical blood, kinda like harry potter and them being a halfy makes them non pure at least thats what i think.
Only royalty has "magical blood" from what I could infer since royalty are the only one who has abnormal body thus it's incest.
Yeah, I expected that the author was thinking of that. But the term pure blood to me kinda give me the wrong impression since usually among royalty and aristocrat pure blood mean the same bloodline. Like how European royalty use to believed that to keep their blue blood they wouldn't marry anyone who aren't royalty.

When they said that true royalty are pure blood, are they saying that those royal kids are inbred? Oh well, they are royalty after all. Of course they are inbred. I guess if the author is going to explain this the author probably come up with something else beside incest since this thing dont usually go well with modern reader, the literal and historical term of the word pure blood is really bothering me, since the first thing cone to my mind is that they are inbred. ╮(￣▽￣)╭
