I think the increased focus on action is taking away the mystery, suspence, worldbuilding and character growth: we are shown less reasons for why a certain character does something, which makes the story feel rushed and confusing.
Also, I miss the character exploration of all the gangs: with Beastars I'd expect that to be incoorporated in the tale and foreshadowed throughout various interactions and with mini stories in between. It feels like the author's just rushing and doing whatever at this point.

It's just sad how the shakespear-like romantic mystery/tradgedy transformed into more generic acton with weird gimmics to spice it up.

I'd also like more detail about melon's network behind the scenes: he is clearly doing stuff as a doctor, teacher, black alley market boss...
More detail on how he slowly fell into the black alley market craze, more nuance on how he sees the black alley market, more detail on his training (because legosi trained a ton to fight him, etc.)

Then, I thik a ot of characters rn seem 2d: kkinda like stereotypes. Just: why are we not given foreshadowing on their personalities? Where is the suspence of us knowing what they are like while legosi has to figure it out in a fight?

I want some more infromation on louis, Haru, etc. There was this random leopard with sheep interaction chapeter in between that I enjoyed and I just think it wouuld be a great background story for one of the leopard leaders or daughter of a leader if it was more fleshed out but yeah...

I tend to go on a rant, sorry

Idk how to edit but yeah: louis and juno could be contrasted nicely with what legosiis doing and loui's speach honestly felt weak and confusing. I mean: these old friends need more attention.

Also: the whole seaspeak thing is just not going to be mentioned at all for the couple 50 chapters I think, while that is one of the most fascinating locations that has yet to be explored. I'm writing this as a fan of "Death Need Not Apply" by "Salt00", a fanfiction with great underwater worldbuilding. Looking for something of similar quality from beastars, but yeah.

I feel like the author just wants to be done w this arc, honestly.

I absolutely agree with you. What made me fall in love with this manga in the first places was the complexities of the characters and the interspecies relationships which no one saw coming. This current arc is kinda mocking the whole Beastar world set up and is just plain strange and not even really funny. Bring back the interesting characters, their back stories and relationships! ┗( T﹏T )┛
