What pwp?
Hmmm....not reaaaally....
Yeah the previous part had way more plotty stuff. But in that part, we never knew their relationship after their storry ended. Being a direct sequel, this starts off with an established relationship. You can't really move the plot forward unless you set some relationship between the two. We have to see how they interact, how their relationship changes, how much they love each other etc etc and sex scenes are a great way to do that.
Unlike other bl, what this does right is assuring the readers that the main characters are in a stable, understanding relationship (for now). Honestly a lot of bl relationships forgo the most basic element. Simple trust.
i've noticed a trend with webtoons in general is that they have interesting plots at first but then they start to lose quality towards the middle and end. sad.

Story isn't interesting anymore. What am I saying - there is no story ╮(￣▽￣)╭
What made the prequel good was the story, the characterization, the chemistry and interaction between the three. How did all of that turn into this mush. I mean there are like 10bn other bl with the pwp but why this story which started out so good.
