    Yes..the novel is a lot more depressing and gloomier. in the manhua, I like the seme. In the novel, I hate him. but there are 200+ chapters so hopefully things get better, in the novel. The english translations have reached till the part where Chen Yu was being attended by the Physician.

    I feel like he would know. There's some chapters i think when the physician was attending to him where both the uh- (iforgottheirname) main lead and the physician refer to him as "he" or "his".

    ah true, the words for he/she have the same pronunciation, but he is 他 while she is 她. When translating from chinese, you don't really need the pronunciation, the main part is the characters.
