Because yaoi is smut and has sex scenes where shounen ai can also sometimes be more sexual but there's never sex scenes. Shounen ai is more PG 13 where yaoi is 18+ hehe

Bruh, I know the difference. I’ve been reading yaoi for 9 years. But there’s sex scenes in this though, although it might not be as intense as other yaoi, but despite that there’s still sex... that’s why I’m wondering why it’s only classified as shounen ai.

Basically, I feel like this could also be classified as yaoi.

Sorry I just didn't know because usually when they're sexie scenes in a weebtoon or manga I read I usually remember it quite vividly but I can't remember any in this one actually now that I'm talking about it I remember one scene but I don't think they showed the actual parts with that fucking traitor maybe it wasn't smut enough to be a yaoi

Based on what I’ve seen in other shounen ai, this definitely a little more daring when it comes to showing sex scenes. In most other shounen ai, the sex is implied or never shown. But in this, there have been times where it has been full on shown, all though, as I said not as graphically as yaoi does. I think this could have both a yaoi and shounen ai tag.

Yeah, I get what you’re saying. It’s definitely more story based, and doesn’t really focus on the sexual part of the story. To be honest, at the end of that day, it is what it is. I usually stick to only yaoi, but updates have been slow and I’ve started reading a few select shounen ai stories and some of them are REALLY good, that I feel like I’ve been missing out on some really well developed stories. I wish there were more stories like these under the yaoi tag with really well developed stories, that aren’t focused primarily on sex but still has sex in it. And I just feel like this story could be one of those stories that could belong both to yaoi and shounen ai, but I’m not upset to be honest. I was just curious, because when I saw them doing it, I couldn’t help but question why it was shounen ai.

And it would make sense you wouldn’t remember the sex because it’s not the main focus, nor is it significant to the story. It didn’t have a lasting impression and when they were doing it, it was just awkward. There are definitely more interesting things playing out in the story than them banging each other, especially when white haired dude doesn’t even love the MC.
