I’m Asian but it’s not normal nowadays where I live... The only time someone tried to matchmake my cousins was because my uncle was adopted so my cousins aren’t actually related by blood. Even so, they felt that it’s kinda icky anyway since they’ve always seen themselves as relatives.

If you’re talking about distant cousins/relatives twice thrice removed, who’ve never seen each other before... Then yeah that’s more common.

The main problem is that marrying your cousin is just as looked down upon as marrying a sibling because of the genetic risk involved when children are conceived.

I get where u coming from but pls dont generalise Asia like that. Im Thai specifically and cousins are basically ur own siblings so it would be strange here. But i do know there's other Asian countries that does this
