Its not nagging. You just didnt view That guy Point of view since your focus on MC pov. They way they lectured them is actually good. The teasing part is actually ment to change the mood or an icebreaker to lighten the atmosphere.

guy who was nagging them the way he portrayed that um that was essentially just nagging..? idk but the way he lectured them then teased them was really annoying ( for me ) and #2 the girl. u all alr know what i mean
