My opinion.

The father's bad but not that BAD. Well, he's not befitting for letting them strive with an abusive mother and disregard them. BUT, in this story, illegitimate children are not supposed to be kept ALIVE. Allowing them to live is mercy enough. In later chapters, there's a whole flashback of the king's thought before naming them. The dad's actually kinda funny and awkward though. Since his other children grew up fast, he found these two to be fragile. In the later chapters, you will see(づ ̄ ³ ̄)づ

Fragile children need to be placed with abusive parental figures? Seems life won't be easy but hellish for the 2 with that kind of thinking. Also seems he took the 2 back but why bother after giving them up?

I’ve only read the raw. I dun understand much korean but there was a reason why he kept them alive. Like ‘they shouldn’t die, it was not their fault,’ or sth like that. I’m not saying he’s agood father. He’s a bad one. But not to the point of like the very very bad type. Tho most korean manhwa will always have that one character who used to be a bastard but suddenly changed their attitude. Idk
