i think he plays around rather than other things so that he can escape reality, since he isnt satisfied with himself. i dont think this applies to all yaois and all characters but i think for yanase its like this. (⊙…⊙ )

This so cute and fluffy , but I always wonder why in Yaoi the only thing to get them distracted or when they are bored in the their its always playing around? Like you have many option to pass time not just play around
