I read yaoi in an early age of 15. I was open about it then but when I reached college I hide it and I think it's the best decision for me. I like to keep my hobby of yaoi just for myself and it keeps me from sexualizing or fetishizing real life gay people.
The line is crossed when you make any of your gay friends or gay people in real life uncomfortable by doting on their relationship and sex life.
When is the line of liking yaoi to fetishizing gay crossed? Or is it never crossed? I feel really bad about liking yaoi, I don’t think about real gay men like that, because as a wlw women I know how it feels to be fetishized, but i stil feel bad just for liking it. Can you guys respond with your thoughts on this?
