Is it important because of the repeated theme of Yashiro being treated like a woman? His pedo stepdad traumatized him, telling him he was too pretty to be a boy...then he was Misumi's mistress....then Ryuu's sex friend--Ryuu just wished Yashiro was a woman.
And Doumeki just wanted to treat him gently.
* Chapter 29 should be "I have the worst luck being stuck with an okama (unflattering stereotype of cross-dressers and transgender women) yakuza...." not "faggot". Listening along, you can see how often the text completely localizes the slurs ie "tranny" "fag" "faggot" etc instead of the correct homo and okama, hentai. They mean different things, okama suggests Yashiro isn't man enough, as said by Chestnut, the rest are just Americanizing everything. Especially given how Yash responds to "okama" "homo" "hentai" that Misumi said to him on their first meeting, it is important to see the cultural specifics of these slurs and how the author uses them specifically, even "neko" gets translated to something differently at times....
