No it either means disappointment in something or in this case, something bad is definitely going to happen and you know it so it makes you upset because of the cliché (my take on IAMDEAD's response, could be off).

Hahaha I'm sorry but what is stereotype.. As English is not my native language it is pretty hard and.. You are using.. Difficult words.. Which is hard for a child like me to understand
stereotype in simplest words means what most people think of something, and they are sometimes not correct
like for an example “women are stereotypically thought as weak“ means most people think women are weak, and that might be true but that doesn’t mean ALL women are weak

This may be unneeded but a cliché can also be served as a trend often used, especially in novels. Stereotypes are similar too, it's the basic view of how people in society see it (the idea/person/thing in subject) not that it's necessarily true.

It's not really the same, but it kinda is. Stereotype is what people usually to think or do, like the comments above "women are stereotypically thought as weak". But cliché is being used more to a story, so this means like a typical love story that consist a pair and then they fought and the man cheat but they got back together anyways, or someone got into an amnesia. So that's cliché.
This is what I understand the words as, so if you're still not getting it i'm sorry
So basically cliché means that the story is over used and there's nothing new about the plot because you can guess it in the end.
