For everybody talking about the consent issues

It's like a horror movie, you enjoy it you like watching it, but no body in real life actually wants to be chased with a chainsaw and mutilated or vice versa, no body wants to be chasing someone with a chainsaw mutilating their body cause they find it fun, but you enjoy watching it and you know what is fake and real, but BUT it isn't for everybody and that's fine.
it's not about the people reading it are fine with the concept of rape, they aren't and they know that.
I understand if you've been through sexual assault and you have to witness it in a manga, it may bring back memories and cause PTSD, but if that is the case you should be doing your research before you read any 18+ content such as yaoi to see if it contains such topics, as genres such as Yaoi, Yuri, Smut etc are all 18+ and are no strangers to rape, consent issues, assault etc. and if it does, I'm not saying don't read it, just simply skip over the scenes that contain these things, which is what the author themselves should make aware to the audience.
Yaoi in general and other similar content like Yuri and smut is intended for an 18+ audience, anything that has sex, rape or violence that is not suitable for children is intended for an 18+ audience. WHY?
Because at that age you should be able to differentiate between fiction and reality, and know that the portrayal of toxic relationships and sex scenes is MERELY FICTION and wrong to do in reality, if you can't differentiate fiction and reality and do not know that the portrayal of the toxic relationships ARE NOT intended to be portrayed in reality then you are either not 18+, therefore are not the intended demographic and SHOULD NOT be reading this content, or if you are but still cannot seem to tell the difference then you're DEFINITELY NOT the intended demographic. Content involving sex in general is intended for an audience who is both mature and mentally capable of understanding the differences between what is fake and what is real.
If you still decide to read this kind of content knowing that you are either underage, incapable of understanding such differences OR both, that is on you. Most underage people who read yaoi aren't much younger than 14, at that age you may be minor and are impressionable but you're self aware and know what you're doing (I was once 14 myself) so it is on you if you decide to go on the internet and purposefully choose to read adult content (it's like watching porn, you shouldn't be watching it if you're a minor but most do anyway, but it's on you if you do cause your parents can't track everything you do on the internet, all it takes is one button to delete your internet history) If you're are not a minor but you still can't comprehend the difference then again you shouldn't be reading this content.
One of the things the author should be doing and which is on them or the website is to make it very clear which chapters and scenes have such content and put a disclaimer which I didn't see with this (but that could be down to the uploader not downloading the screenshot of the disclaimer) but with a disclaimer you should be able to skip over such scenes.
May I please just say this is MY OPINION. I tried to give a detailed yet not too long of an explanation as to why the majority of people who read this kind of content and enjoy it are not bad people who don't care about rape and think it's fine. They and the author enjoy reading it and the storyline but know how this differs from reality and know that acts such as these are not intended whatsoever to be repeated in real life, they also knows that toxic relationships shown within their content is also not intended to be portrayed and romanticised in real life, that is why it is 18+ (mature audience) because people at that age should know that.
