I think maybe cause the allergy started for him at a very young age so he hasn't started processing "love" yet. For Haname, he already realized he was in love with Arashi before he started taking the meds.

Why was Arashi the only one with the "can't feel love" effect from the medicine?????
I think it would be more interesting if after confessing the uke would take his medicine and stop feeling love until cured and the seme would have to wait or something like that
