I didn't get the Rapunzel story

Pretty much it's up to interpretation. Since the author said the is about a woman heart, I have a vague idea that it might about how the girl closing up her heart and living in the past, but in the end moving on from the prison the is the tower. There's a lot to interpret here but I might be wrong about it too lol.
