This is so wrong, grandpa!

This. Is. So. Selfish!! How can the grandpa do something like that?? DON'T IMPOSE YOUR OWN WISHES ON PEOPLE!!! What YOU want isn't what everyone wants!
I hope parents and guardians will stop imposing their own view of life to their children. This is not how you take care of the people you love!
Before anything else ask why! Try to understand!

He wants to live alone? Ask why! Maybe he cant be with the person he loves because they're already taken or because the relationship isn't possible (for whatever reason).
He doesnt want children? Ask why!! Maybe it's just because he doesnt like kids or maybe it's because he cant have one, be it because of fertility problems or sexual orientation that doesnt allow it in itself.

I'm not only talking about the manhwa but about life in general. People, seriously, JUST ASK WHY!!!

I actually think that's normal in the chinese and other asian cultures. Think about it: they basically worked so hard and sacrificed a lot to give the children a future.

Maybe it's normal in some asian cultures (and latino too, may I add) but it doesn't mean it's right. It's still wrong.

And yes they sacrificed a lot and I know children should be grateful and all but... they didn't ask for them to do so much sacrifices (at least the ones I'm talking about) so why should the kids fulfill their parents or guardians wishes?

And, in my opinion, and maybe I'm too naive for this world idk, but I think that if I had sacrifice everything for my children it would be so they can be happy in this life. Not for them to repay me or do what I want them to do. Just be happy and have a happy life with whoever you want and do whatever job you want. Isn't that what should be the most important? Your loved ones' happiness?

It's very very common in Asian culture. You'll be surprised.

I know that. I've read enough manga, novels and books and watched enough movies and dramas to know that much. Even if there are a lot of cliches and extrapolations in those, they still have some truths in them.
But like I said before : it's not because it's common and normal in some cultures, that it's not wrong. Controlling someone and pushing your wants on them is wrong even your intentions are good. If you hurt them by doing so then your wrong.

(I know there is some special situations but if their life life or health aren't threatened then it's wrong to force someone to do something they dont want or that hurts them in any way. And yes, maybe I'm naive or stubborn but I wont change my mind.
I was raised like that : my parents wanted something for me but I didn't want it at all. But what could I do? They're my parents right? And it hurt like hell because if I didnt do it, I'd disappoint them but if i do, I'd never be happy and i knew it. And maybe you'll think that I'm an ungrateful child or whatever but I gave the priority to my own happiness. Maybe I'll regret it someday, no one knows, but for now I'm happy that way, and it's what matters for me.)
