I don't really agree with you, MD has every right to be frustrated, but he has no right to take it out on Chanwoo, especially since it was stated that they weren't going out and that Chanwoo could still date around if it didn't hinder the show.
Here, MD uses a previously contractual respectful relationship and turns it into an abusive relationship with his psychological ascendant and forces Chanwoo to have a sexual relationship with someone when he doesn't want to.

To me, MD is completely wrong and shouldn't get out of this situation without seriously apologizing to Chanwoo who by no means deserved any of that, as he was supposed to be free to choose his partner.

I completely agree that MD should seriously apologize because that "I'm sorry too" is nothing in this situation. And yes, MD is wrong for forcing Chanwoo but we also need to remember that Chanwoo had the choice to decline from participating in that "game" (what he ended up doing). So my point is, MD is completely wrong, but few Chanwoo's choices weren't right as well.

This is why I talk about MD's psychological ascendant on Chanwoo.

When he proposes that "game", Chanwoo has just realized that he was lied to by his new "partner" the whole time, and that his relationship (which he felt comfortable into until it started crumbling (in his eyes at least) when MD confessed) is menaced by this said partner. This he is very insecure and feels like he's about to lose everything he has.

MD knows that and plays on it, knowing their current relationship is too precious to Chanwoo for him to refuse and thus pressurizes him into having sex with the other guy, with the more or less implicit threat of breaking it all off if he refuses him.

So no, Chanwoo actually didn't really have a choice, he was cornered into thinking 'have sex or lose it all'.

I completely agree with you. Thank you for taking the time to say it cuz I did not feel like typing that all out. There was definitely large amounts of emotional manipulation going on.

Just because there is not outright threat or forced action does not mean that they where completely free in their choice. As you said, he was backed into a corner, mentality, which can have just as much or more of an affect on the choices people make and if they feel pressured to do so.

If you put it that way.. I actually agree. Huh, guess I didn't analyze all of the situation on that deep level. You have a really good point I should say.
